Q: how much is insurance for a used ford F-150 lariat?
for under and over 18.
A: that depends a lot on your record how old the truck is my 07 f150 super crew is about 400 per year full coverage but we pay double that for my daughters crown vic 18 with 2 tickets
Q: I’m looking at used Ford F-150’s with various miles. If maintained well, how many miles can I expect to get?
A: Depends on the year, how it was used?
Engine trans combo.
And if it was maintained regularly.
I have seen old ford 300 inline 6 cylinders with 1/2 a million miles and I have seen the new plastic bedside trucks in the junkyard with less than 100K on the ticker.
Q: I might be getting my mom’s fiance’s used Ford F-150…?
So I’m 14 and I’ll be getting my license in 2 years. I’ve been starting to save for a car but my mom’s fiance said that maybe I can have his 2005 Ford F-150. He is very very careful with his car but I’m wondering- do any of you think it will still be good? By the time I get it, it will be 7 years old
haha about the not picking best answer thing… i’m not always sure how.. like sometimes it has the buttons to pick one and other times it doesnt..
A: Most cars (ESPICIALLY F150s) are built to last about 15 years or 200,000 miles. It will certainly be good to use. Your main concern shouldnt be how long until it breaks, but how long until a crash occurs. 16-18 yr olds are 50% likely to wind up in a crash the first year, so be careful, and please, NEVER text while driving, always keep a hand on the wheel and your eyes on the road.( Imagine what would happen if that big truck smashed into a tiny little hybrid car.)
Oh, and please pick a best answer, it bugs me when people dont.
Q: Simple Question – Used Ford F-150 or Toyota Tundra?
Comparing two trucks requiring these options 4WD & Double Cabs, 6′ bed, and I’m looking for atleast the 2007 model.. Which one do you prefer and why?
A: I would say the Tundra, get a lot more truck for the dollar. Ford’s I believe are overpriced for what they are. I am a hardcore GM guy but even the Tundra caught my attention. lets see there 4.7 makes almost 290hp, and the 5.7 puts out around 380hp. Double cab has a lot more room in it comparably to the F-150. Secondly, Toyota is known for its long lasting vehicles. They may sound like crap, but I’ll be damn if you can’t kill them. I have driven the new tundra’s both 4.7 and 5.7 and they are both impressive with power and torque. It might have taken the Japanese a long time to build a full size truck, but they got it right the first time. Also Tundra’s hold a better resale value than most full size trucks. My father owns a 07 Tundra double cab XSP 2wd, 4.7L and it was able to pull my buddies Dodge 2500 without even struggling. At no point did the truck even sound like it was struggling pulling that big old Dodge. But to each there own; Just drive them both and see which one fits you better.
Q: used ford f-150/95model ,what is value?
the cab is usable, windshield busted, could strip and part out//bed is in good condition//drive train o.k from cab on back
A: Go to Kelly Blue Book web site and enter the specs. It will tell you the retail and trade-in value.
Q: Does my used 2004 Ford F-150 have less power than a older 99 F-150?
I just bought a used 2004 f-150 4×4 with 109,000 miles. I used to own a 99 2×4 f-150 and it rocked, lots of power, fast acceleration when I hit the gas, but this new 2004 I just got doesnt seem to have much power. The acceleration is slow, the torqe almost seems no existent. Can anyone help me out? Is this normal for this 2004 year and model? Or can I do something to fix it? I’m an intermediate mechanic and can fix and replace anything, I just struggle with diagnostics. Thanks everyone for your help!
A: Same engine and trans in both? Same rearend ratio in both? Same cab style? Same wheelbase? Weight will really make a difference. 4×4 is usually slower than 4×2 all other things being equal. Or , it could have just had the crap drove out of it or been poorly maintained and the compression is low (worn out).
Q: i bought a used 2004 ford f 150 with installed xm radio,it works but stopped working why and how do i activate?
A: Call 1-800-967-2346 ( XMradio) and ask them to activate it, there are some numbers they will need of the device to activate it.

Q: Is Ford F-150 a good truck….?
Is Ford F-150 a good truck….?
are Ford F-150 good trucks because I am thinking about buying one in the future and i want to know if they are reliable and safe trucks? Also what would be the price range of a used F-150 in the years 1996-2003? Thanks
A: Yes I have had three of them and they are a good truck. If you buy a 97 to early 98 V6 make sure that they have had the Recall done there is a gasket that can fail. The other thing that was a problem was the cruise control make sure the recall on that was done that covers most years. The 96 model was the old body style the 97 to 04 heritage was the same truck mostly.
Q: I need a 99 ford f-150 v6 4.2 engine used or rebuilt doesnt matter any sugestions
I live in san francisco California and I need a 99 ford f-150 engine to replace my old one but I only have 1000 dollars does anyone know where I can buy one at this price??
A: car-part.com will allow you to search most all of your local salvage yards and/or yards throughout California.
Q: i have a 2002 ford f-150 xl supercab i bought it used from another soldier and i,m having big trouble locating
just dont know where it could be?
A: Did you get the title? How did you purchase a truck, and did not get the vehicle. It sounds suspicious, I think I would have gotten my money back or brought up some kind of charges against him. You don’t just give money to someone, and get nothing in return. Maybe you can look at the place of regiatration, and try to find it there. Otherwise it sounds like you have been had.
Q: 2004 Ford F-150 fuel gage problem
i just bought a used 2004 Ford F-150 XL regular cab and it was on less than a quarter of a tank. by the time i went a few places and got home it was on empty. then this morning i went out to look at some stuff in it and the fuel gage was at just under a half tank. now tonight its at about a quarter. what could the problem be?
A: This vehicle has a lot of problems with fuel gage concerns, Ford has 3 special service messages and 1 TSB dealing with them. The problem will be one of 3 concerns, sulfur build up on the float which can be fixed by using CHEVRON TECHRON PLUS FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER, a calibration update, or a fuel sender replacement. If you could retrieve the codes from the data link connector I might be able to narrow it down some.
Q: Is it possible to tow a 1998 Jeep Cherokee using a 2001 Ford F-150? If so how would you do it?
Some friends and I are driving to New york to start a new life, but we want to take 2 vehicles so we are not constricted. We are driving from Southeast Texas to Upstate New York on Friday, Jan. 2nd.
A: rent a tow dolly from uhaul tow it behind your truck
