Q: Is it okay for a 16 year old to get an used Audi A5?
A: if it is your kid and you can afford it and you are comfortable with that i would say go ahead. if you are the kid i would say you are probably dreaming as most parents would not buy this for you. when i was 16 my parents (who could afford it) bought me a used chevy blazer, when i graduated i got a new bmw 330i as a graduation present. it was sweet, maybe this would be a good idea with your kid.
Q: How much would a used 2008 audi A5 be and a used 2008 audi S5 be?
If you dont know give it your best shot
A: it all depends on the mileage of the car. but i would say $48,000-$53,000
Q: how much would 2008 AUDI a5 coupe cost in 2012?
how much would a used audi a5 coupe from the year 2008 cost in 2011?
A: Considering they’re around $50,000 now, in 4 years, It would probably be about $22-26 thousand dollars.
Q: Audi A5 or S4(2006+), used, which one is better choice?
I like A5(3.2 or 3.0TDI) interior and exterior very much, + it’s newer then S4.
But S4 got better performance and doesn’t look bad anyway + it can be modded easily over time.
What do you guys reckon would be better choice between these two?
Oh and please no answers about insurance.
A: if u r looking to modify u go with the S4 twin turbo serious power 450HP
if u want to go with the A5 thats already NICE
well u could modify over time
i say S4 baby smooking power
Q: I am in the process of purchasing an Audi A5. Can a Zune be used instead of the Ipod on the ipod interface?
A: Probably, yes. It depends though, if it was specifically designed for the ipod though than most likely you wont be able to. But don’t worry, im sure the audi a5 comes with a AUX in so you can hook up a cable from your headphone jack on your zune to your car. But as far as controlling your ipod from your car stereo, most likely not with a Zune.
Q: Used Porsche Cayman vs. new Audi A5… which would be the better choice?
I’m wondering which of these cars to buy, and I am finding the decision very difficult. The range of miles that I would be considering for the Porsche would under 30k, but preferably under 20k if I can find one for the right price. Admittedly, I like the style of the Porsche better, and I hear it is a much more fun car to drive, but the fact that it would be used throws me a little. I would appreciate answers from drivers of these specific cars, not just hopefuls who would like to drive them vicariously through me. Thanks for your help.
A: They are very different cars. The Cayman is a sports car–more power, better handling, smaller inside and out, more expensive (likely) to insure and maintain. The A5 is a sporty-looking coupe, with less power, tamer handling, but a few more creature comforts.
If you like tweaking and tuning cars, the Cayman is the best bet as there are lots of options for further improving power, handling, etc. The Audi is a “buy it and drive it” car.
Take stock of what you really want/need the car for; maybe that’ll help you choose. The intended uses for these two cars are very different.
Oh, and regarding used versus new…have a Porsche dealer or specialist mechanic check the Cayman out. The $100-200 you’ll pay is money well spent. One nice thing about Porsches is that they are very sturdy and reliable, so a low-mileage example (driven between 5-8,000 miles per year) is really just “nicely broken in”. One other thing to consider is that, with new, you’ll eat the depreciation which can be 30% immediately upon driving off the dealer’s lot, and 10% a year after that. With used, someone else has already “paid” the depreciation bill for you.
Q: used bmw M3 e46 or new Audi A5?
I’m trying to pick a car but theres always those pros and cons
M3 have potential in them if they are loaded with modifications (40k with mods)
A5 are good enough to drive without the modifications (40-43k depending on dealership)
dont look at the price but think about quality, enjoyment, public status, and maintenance
which one would you pick?
I understand that some of you guys will say “they’re both different type of cars”
but… i like BMWs and Audis and they both fit in my budget
and it would be great if you guys can give reasons why you would choose the car
A: Listen to what they said on Top Gear… all of the douches stopped buying BMWs and now they are buying Audis.
Why are you looking to buy a car and then mod it? Buy what you want. Cars were designed to work as a whole. When you start making major modifcations to your car, your reliability will become horrible. You are already thinking of an Audi and a BMW, meaning your reliability will be bad enough. Don’t make your own life worse.
Q: Does Audi A5 come with red leather?
Getting an Audi A5 as my next car. Quick question to Audi A5 owners, is there an option to get red leather? I have seen a few online on the used editions, but how about in 2011?
I am only talking about the Audi A5. Do not post about S5 because I can’t afford that one.
Also, can I custom order it? On the website it doesn’t allow you to customize cars with red leather unless it is S5. Thanks
A: Yes some dealers around ur area most likely have them in stock.
Q: should i get bmw 335i or audi a5?
i have a 25grand budget by the end of next march of 2012 on a new/used car. i was wondering which one, bmw 335i or audi a5 gets more ladies… for the audi, i’m talking any 2009 model and up (with the LED lights) and for the bmw a coupe model (preferably a 2009 model and up as well).
i’m will be a junior in undergrad by the way if that helps at UCLA. perhaps the environment might suit a certain car better or be more vulnerable to damages.
or should i just get a pretty new altima coupe 2.5 or 3.5
A: A5 without question. There are a million three series BMW’s out there. Try to go buy a new A5 right now. You can’t because there aren’t any. All inventory except for the Q5 is sold when it hits the ground. The car is beautiful.
Audi makes some great vehicles. They are still trying to recover from their 5000 sedans back in the 1980’s that wanted to drive on their own. Full acceleration into people and buildings are bad for new car sales.
Since that was 25 years ago, I think they have fixed that problem?
Q: Add gps navigation to Audi A5?
Hi a recently purchased audi a5 did not come with gps navigation built in, and i was just wondering if anyone knew where i could or if it is possible to purchase and install a gps module that makes use of the integrated screen already in the dash. If it is i was also wondering what navigation software i would be able able to use with the system?
thanks in advance
A: FYI, it will probably be cheaper to just buy a navi. Audi will probably charge you over $1000 to add navigation to it.
Q: buying a New vs a used car?
I am getting a car that I only plan on keeping 3-4 years. I dont want to spend too much but buying a used car seems absolutely no cheaper than buying or leasing a new one. In 3 years a used car will depreciate just as much as a new one if not more. (By used a mean car in the last 2-3 years with pretty low mileage (luxury vehicles audi, bmw, mercedes)) Example would be a new Audi A5 for 50,000msrp that in 3 years would be worth 25,000 with 30,000miles and a used A5 40,000msrp
with 45,000miles that will be wortth 22,000 or so. So your only really saving 3k. I called BMW for example to try and lease and X6 2009 with 10k miles instead of leasing a new one and they said it would cost more to lease the used than the new.
On another note if I leased and Audi S5 for example the lease should be really really low right? In a lease all you pay for is the depreciation + some interest so if I leased a new 2010 S5 at 60,000 in 3 years it will still be worth about 45,000 or so at the end because it holds its value really well.
2010 Audi A5 msrp 53,000
-In 3 years 35k miles worth approx 31,000 for a net loss of 22k
2008 Audi A5 42,000 with 15k miles
-in 3 years worth 23,000 for a net loss of 19k
for 3k diff you might as well always get it new
A: I do not think you have your information straight. I believe he may not be able to lease you or your credit may give highest lease payment. A used new car will depreciate faster in 3 years then a used one as it will slow down depreciation. You do not pay for depication but for the use of car. There is no interst as you know it but a money factor and residual which determine price.10 k leases are only at some places but why? 85% trade in before lease ends so miles matter a little in trade ACV>
Myadvfice is go to manager and ask after he has credi from you the best bet and to explain how leaseing and financing work.

I am not looking at Honda or Toyota only luxury brands.
If you look at a new S5 msrp 6000 and look at it 2009 same msrp used with 10k miles it is selling fro 53,000 so you figure to more years ans 30k miles miles it will be somewhere areounf 45,000 at a loss of only 15k
A: You are just WRONG in so many ways.
Q: 2011 Audi a5 2.0t automatic or manual?
I am ordering a 2011 audi a5 and was wondering whether i should go with the 6 speed manual or the new 8 speed tiptronic with paddle shiters. it will be a premium plus with the sports package, and i live in seattle, however, i am going to college next year, most likely in CA (LA area) and we have a house in santa barbara, which transmission do u suggest. I only have practice with manuals using motorcycles (no problem on motorcycle). Thanks.
A: I would personally get the 6MT. I have a 6-speed 2010 S5 and it’s fun to drive and definitely not a car I would’ve gotten with an automatic. I drive in New York City all the time with the car and it’s not that bad once you get used to the gearbox.
There however are a fair number of problems with the manual transmission you should know about. The B8 model line (current A/S4 and A/S5) with the six-speed manual transmission is known to have clutch issues. Mainly these issues include the clutch being sticky (or not releasing quickly enough), rough 1-2 gear changes and the clutch being very brittle and sandy once the car warms up. My S5 has all of these issues. The clutch can get sticky sometimes and once the engine warms up, it also becomes somewhat brittle. 1-2 gear changes are somewhat jerky and takes a while to get right. These issues do affect the driving pleasure of the car. Audi recently released a TSB (Technical Support Bulletin) that supposedly fixes the clutch issues. According to many owners, the TSB may resolve the issues temporarily, but the problems always come back. I hate driving autoboxes and especially hated the Tiptronic slushbox when I test drove it, so I choose to look past these issues and keep the MT.
All in all, the gearbox is okay, easy to learn and although the throws are somewhat long, there are aftermarket short shifters available for about $200 which supposedly vastly improve the quality of the shifts. But unless you have someone to teach you proper manual driving techniques (ie. starting, upshifting, single/double/heel-toe downshifting) then you’d be better off with the Tiptronic. The MSRP of a MT may be cheaper but if you can’t drive it properly it’ll cost you A LOT more in repairs.
Q: Which crossover is best? Audi A5, Cadillac SRX, Acura MDX, Volvo XC90, Buick Enclave?
We need a new (or slightly used) crossover – but I want one with some style and sex appeal but that is not too big. Unfortunately I also want good gas mileage. There is no perfect car for me – has anyone seen a GMC Terrain in real life? I’ve only seen pictures. HELP!
A: Ok i wouldnt go with the acura because its maker is going through tons of recalls. I would go with an Audi A5 because audi’s are very dependable, nice, sexy, and luxurous. I have an A5 and its the best car I have owned. Now the Cadillac SRX is a great SUV and cadillac is a great brand, giving that is made in the US also is a plus. Volvo’s are great but they arent that sexy, and Buick’s are nice but arent as sexy either. My one problem is that the audi you mentioned is not a cross over, its a car so dont know if that is a mistake. I would say to go with the cadillac because it’s the best option you have as far as a crossover and theyre not to expensive. But if you are considering the Audi and its not a mistake then go with the Audi it will get better mialage, looks better, and lasts longer.
added-
I just researched audi crossovers and they have an audi Q5 and an Audi Q7. The Audi Q5 is the more realistic and it gets good milage for an suv type vehicle. It says it gets 23mpg on hi-way and 18mpg in the city. So that may be your best bet, I highly recomend Audi.
Q: car experts please help me decision? Audi?
I want an audi a5 coupe..whether used or new i don’t care.
-do you think i should buy a used or new one?
-is audi not reliable car after 5 years? (i will not lease, i will buy regular)
-do you think it can take the brutal weather of new york during snow?
please answer and explain..not just “yes” “no”…i need advice.. thanks
A: The A5 is iconic to the image that Audi has crossed over its ideals of boxy AWD turbo charged sedans and coupes into something sleek, stylish and even sexy .
The A5 is not necessarily a bargain but a blue chip into the german brand of automotive engineering. Though it shares power train configurations with the rest of the lineup, what it doesn’t share is the finesse put into it. It is classified as a mid-size executive coupe. To me it feels like the baby brother of the R8.
Unlike the A4 it doesn’t opt for the widely used turbocharged 4 cylinder. Well at least here in the US you still have that direct injected 6 cylinder 261HP engine. Powerful enough to send you on the road in around 6 second ranges. That’s more than enough to send you to your office and back in half the times of a BMW sunday driver.
Test drive it and if it strikes you well, then the S5 will certainly give you shivers.
Edit: Also btw, it will suite you well owning one new. Its entirely over the trust factor that this car will be taken car unlike other used…I’m sorry pre-owned vehicles in this country.
